Loopa is a cash-prize golf tournament series. Loopa I is the first event: 72 players, 36 two-man teams, three days of golf at Casa de Campo, and a fixed, guaranteed $200,000 purse. This is real money on the line tourney during the day and fun times at night. It's an unforgettable experience.

Wednesday, April 14 through Sunday, April 18, 2027 at Casa de Campo Resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic.

Wednesday: arrival and the Opening Reception at Minitas Beach Club. Thursday: Round 1 at Teeth of the Dog and Casino Night with non-cash chips and door prizes. Friday: Round 2 at Dye Fore and dinner at the Marina. Saturday: Round 3 at Teeth of the Dog, the Championship Playoff and the Closing Ceremony at the Beach. Sunday: departure.

72 players / 36 teams. Hard cap. When it is full, it is full — the site will show a waitlist.

No. The format is handicap-based, so a 22 can beat a 6. What you need is a GHIN index.

Entry is priced per player by villa tier: Garden Villa is $13,500, Premium is $16,750 and Luxe is $19,750. Premium is a single villa, has four spots, and goes first come, first served.

Tournament entry, four nights of villa accommodations, all meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at your villa, on the courses and at all Casa de Campo restaurants, all scheduled golf, cart and caddie fees, airport transfers, and every included nightly event.

Airfare; caddie gratuities; rental clubs; spa services; motorized water sports; and extra excursions (e.g. boat trip); Premium liquor, wine by the bottle and bottle service; any extra nights before or after the event.

$7,500 is due at registration. The remaining balance is due December 31, 2026. Payment is handled securely through Stripe.

Loopa Golf will reach out and give you a chance to cure the balance. If it is still unpaid by January 31, 2027 and you have not made other arrangements with us, Loopa Golf may cancel your registration, release the spot and retain everything paid to that point, with no refund or credit.

Yes. The registering player can cover both entries at checkout. Each player still registers separately, signs their own documents, chooses their own villa tier and has their own ledger.

Yes. Villa tier is an individual choice — you and your partner do not have to match.

Players must be at least 21 years of age on April 14, 2027, maintain a primary residence in the United States, and be a U.S. person for tax purposes with a valid U.S. taxpayer identification number (SSN or ITIN).

No. You can register solo and enter the partner pool. Loopa Golf matches solo entrants directly, so you are not shopping for a partner in a public directory.

Yes. There is no required handicap match and no restriction on who you pair with. If the partners’ Course Handicaps are more than 10 strokes apart, the higher-handicap partner is reduced to the lower partner plus 10 for the purpose of calculating the team Quota. Each player still plays their own ball off their own handicap. There is a max Course Handicap of 18, so although you can sign up as a 22 Handicap, for example, you will be capped.

Substitutions may be requested up to 30 days before the event, subject to acceptance by Loopaa, LLC, which reserves the right to deny any substitution.

The lowest GHIN Handicap Index you carried at any point between April 14, 2026 and April 14, 2027. We look back a full year.

Yes. Everyone plays at 85% of their GHIN Course Handicap. Your Handicap Index converts to a Course Handicap for the tees in play. The 85% allowance is then applied to that number, the result is capped at a maximum of 18, then the 10-stroke partner cap applies, then your team's Quota is calculated.

Two-man teams. Both partners play their own ball on every hole — no best ball and no scramble. Each player earns Modified Stableford points, and both players’ points are added together for the team’s hole score.

Gross. Everything on the card is gross. Your handicap does not move a stroke on your scorecard; it sets your team’s Quota target instead.

Hole-in-one: 10. Albatross: 6. Eagle: 4. Birdie: 3. Par: 2. Bogey: 1. Double bogey or worse: 0.

Yes. No hole may be carded worse than a gross double bogey. Pick up and move on.

Each team is assigned a daily Quota derived from the team’s combined Course Handicap. The daily result is the quota differential: Modified Stableford points earned minus Quota. Beat the target and you are positive; miss it and you are negative. Every team starts on one overall leaderboard with no flights.

Yes. Day 2 Quota equals Day 1 Quota adjusted by 50% of the Day 1 quota differential. Day 3 Quota equals Day 2 Quota adjusted by 50% of the Day 2 quota differential.

Yes, after Round 2. The top 24 teams by cumulative quota differential advance to the Championship field for Round 3. The bottom 12 move to the Consolation Bracket and play for the Consolation prize with the same rolling Quota adjustment — no reset.

The top four teams by overall quota differential after Round 3 advance to a sudden-death alternate-shot playoff at Teeth of the Dog. It begins on hole 1 or hole 10, whichever is available, and continues through the following holes in succession until one team is left.

Yes. The $200,000 purse is fixed and guaranteed. Loopa puts it up regardless of how many teams enter; it does not shrink if the field comes in short.

Champion: $100,000. Three losing playoff teams: $24,000 total, $8,000 each. Round 1 Day Money: $12,000. Round 2 Day Money: $12,000. Round 3 Day Money: $8,000. Skins: $18,900. Consolation Bracket first: $25,000. Consolation Bracket second: $100.

Correct. It is a joke prize, and it is funded. Finish second in Consolation and you get a crisp hundred and a story.

Skins are an individual competition. $6,300 is available each day, with no fixed value assigned to any hole. A player wins a skin by being the only eligible player with the best gross birdie-or-better result on a hole; partners’ scores are not combined. If nobody records birdie or better, or two or more eligible players tie for the best qualifying result, no skin is won on that hole. At day’s end, the $6,300 is divided equally among the skins won that day. If no skin is won on Day 1 or Day 2, that day’s amount carries to the next day; if none is won on Day 3, the amount then available is divided equally among Championship-field players. Every player is eligible in Rounds 1 and 2; only Championship-field players are eligible in Round 3.

The Championship uses a sudden-death alternate-shot playoff. Ties for a playoff spot use a chip-off, with the higher-GHIN partner representing each team. Day Money ties at the paying cutoff and a Consolation first-place tie split the relevant prize evenly. The Round 2 cut line uses countback: back 9, back 6, back 3, then the last hole. A tie for the best qualifying Skins result means no skin is won on that hole.

Winnings are paid by Loopaa, LLC after the event. Players who cash must provide tax identification information on Form W-9 and consent to 1099 reporting as a condition of collecting a prize. We collect this only from players who actually win money.

Accepting prize money can affect amateur status because Loopa I is a handicap competition. Playing does not affect your status; accepting prize money can, including Day Money and Skins. Players with amateur-only, club or collegiate eligibility concerns should review the Rules of Amateur Status before registering and may decline a prize. Every pro and amateur player is expected to make their own decision and asses the risk of their own status and move accordingly.

Anything won on a completed day stands. If play stops before any round is complete, the entire purse is split evenly across all 72 players. If Round 1 is complete but Rounds 2 and 3 cannot be played, the Round 1 leader takes the grand prize, Round 1 Day Money and skins stand, and the remainder is split across the field. If Round 2 is complete but Round 3 cannot be played, the Round 2 leader takes the grand prize, Day Money and skins from Rounds 1 and 2 stand, and the remainder is split. If a playoff can realistically be held, the four qualifiers will be called to the tee.

Through October 31, 2026: a 100% refund less a 5% processing fee. From November 1 through December 31, 2026: a 50% cash refund, less 5% on the cash portion, plus a 50% personal, non-transferable credit for an eligible future Loopa Golf event through December 31, 2028. On or after January 1, 2027: no refund. Requests must be in writing, and one player’s withdrawal does not cancel their partner’s registration.

You may request a substitution up to 30 days before the event, subject to Loopa Golf’s approval.

On property at Casa de Campo in private villas assigned by tier. Villa assignments are handled by Loopa Golf.

Fly into La Romana (LRM), minutes from the resort, Punta Cana (PUJ) or Santo Domingo (SDQ). Airport transfers are included. Airfare is your responsibility.

No. Loopa I is players only — 72 spots, with no guests or non-playing companions.

Golf attire is acceptable everywhere on property, all week. Resortwear is optional for nightly events. No sportcoats.

Yes. Casa de Campo courses require caddies. Caddie fees are included in entry; gratuities are not included.

The player profile collects an emergency contact and a simple allergy flag. We do not collect free-text medical histories.

Yes. Every player signs a photo, video and likeness release during registration, allowing Loopa Golf to use event footage in marketing for Loopa I and future events. Of course, you may opt out at anytime before the event if you wish not to be included.

That is the plan — a live leaderboard you can follow from the course or the villa.

Loopa I is operated by Loopaa, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company.

The required registration agreement and terms, participation and liability releases, media release and player portal terms are signed electronically through DocuSign during registration.
